Voices for Climate Action (VCA) Project

The project is Financed by the Slovak Aid and implemented by Sote Hub.

We identified innovators, SMES, organizations, groups already implementing nature-based solutions to climate problems especially in agriculture, environment with minimum 50% of selected enterprises run by women.

Sectors

  • Drought resistant varieties of crops and livestock breeds.
  • Plastic recycling.
  • Local smart irrigation technologies
  • Vertical gardening systems.
  • Renewable energy solutions that reduce pressure on trees and wood (example, briquettes to reduce demand on mangrove forests), reafforestation projects, nature-based businesses, circular economy.

A fight on climate change is a fight on poverty. Through this project I was able to identify how to strengthen and commercialize Azolla farming. Azolla farming is not only focused on food security but also climate change.
